NORTH EAST VICTORIA FAMILIY AND CRIMINAL LAWYERS

We are committed to standing with regional Victorians. Our practice has a strong focus on North East Victoria, where the principal of Just Law Victoria grew up, still lives, and remains deeply connected to the community within the seat of Indi. Too often, regional areas are left behind by systems designed for metropolitan centres — with bureaucracy creating unnecessary hurdles rather than enabling people to move forward. We believe Australia is built on fairness, hard work, innovation, and the freedom to get on with life. Our role is to cut through complexity, protect our clients’ rights, and deliver practical legal solutions that work in the real world — not just on paper.
We cover Family law, Intervention Orders, Criminal Law and Civil law. Please feel welcome to call us or arrange a meeting. We can have a discussion over the phone, zoom, face to face. We appear in Courts from Seymour to Wodonga, from Frankston to Swan Hill. We are a small firm and where necessary rely upon the specialist services of a number of Barristers that we have a close relationship with.
Family law -
Family law matters are often urgent, emotionally charged, and high-stakes. We act for parents and partners across North East Victoria in parenting disputes, property settlements, child support issues, and Intervention Order–related proceedings. Our approach is practical and strategic: protecting children, securing workable arrangements, and resolving matters efficiently where possible — while being fully prepared to litigate when necessary. We regularly appear in contested hearings and interim applications and provide clear, realistic advice from the outset so clients understand their position, their risks, and their options.
Criminal Law -
Criminal charges carry immediate and serious consequences. We act for clients across North East Victoria in summary and indictable matters, including traffic offences, Intervention Order–related charges, bail applications, and contested hearings. From the first police contact through to court, we focus on protecting your rights, minimising exposure, and resolving matters decisively. We provide clear, realistic advice early, prepare matters thoroughly, and advocate firmly — whether the objective is withdrawal, negotiation, or a defended hearing.
Intervention Orders -
Intervention Orders can be made quickly and with serious consequences. We act for both applicants and respondents in Family Violence and Personal Safety Intervention Order matters across Victoria, including urgent applications, contested hearings, variations, and breaches. Our role is to cut through the emotion and urgency of these cases, ensure the court has accurate and complete evidence, and protect our clients from orders that are unnecessary, unworkable, or unfair. We provide clear advice from the outset and appear regularly in defended Intervention Order proceedings.
